As the name says: Break the fast, that’s why it is known as the most important meal of the day. After 8-12 hours fasting while sleeping, your body needs food to start the day appropriately by eating from all the food groups: carbohydrates/starches, protein, dairy, fruits, veggies and fats. That will give you energy, glucose, vitamins, minerals and so on. 

Parfaits in french perfect is a great example of a breakfast you can prepare the night before and keep it in the fridge for an early take away from home. It can be done in a glass jar or plastic container; the important thing is not to forget the spoon!

It is a great option for adults and children too. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of low fat yogurt; the best option is Greek yoghurt with no added sugar. 
  • 1/4 cup of natural oats or organic muesli. 
  • 2 small kiwis or any mix of fruits you like.
  • Chia seeds as a topping.

This will give you all the nutrients you need, antioxidants, vitamin C and fibre, and its also Vegan!
