My first experience with French toasts was ages ago! I was a little girl, in her first family trip to Disney, with little experience with both English and airplane breakfasts. So I didn’t actually understand the options back then, but, as French people are well known as great cooks, I took the chance.

But oh God was I wrong! I just remember a chewy-brownish-thing with honey on the top, and that was it. I can’t recall any yoghurt or any fruit (probably it had some on the side). But, what I can really remember were the scramble eggs from my brother who was sitting next to me!

It’s been many years ahead and now I am a “big girl” who can make their own French Toasts! and I want to share my recipe with you, as they are really yummy, and also easy and quick to make.

For two toasts you just need:

  • 2 raisin toasts
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of skim milk and
  • Splenda (optional)
  • Olive-oil spray

Approx. calories: 360 (1508kJ)

Just mix the egg, the skim milk and the Splenda and pour over both sides of the two raising toasts. With some sprayed olive oil, cook them on a fry pan on both sides and serve with yoghurt and blueberries.

Yum yum! It doesn’t get any easier than this! Just try them out and post your comments below.
